Systems Engineer I – Air Traffic, Marlborough, MA Overview As part of the Air Traffic team, you’ll be instrumental in developing the next generation of the Standard Terminal Automation Replacement System (STARS) and supporting existing fielded systems. Your work will modernize air traffic control across the country. Responsibilities Work on the cutting‑edge STARS air traffic control system, the backbone of air traffic management in the United States. Join a dynamic systems engineering team dedicated to modernizing STARS under an exciting new contract. Support the software team to design, develop, and test operational and non‑operational software updates for various program software releases. Develop rigorous sell‑off criteria to verify requirements, ensuring the highest standards of performance and safety. Lead test verification events with the customer and develop plan and procedures to verify system‑level requirements. Qualifications Must Have Bachelor’s degree in Software or Computer Engineering or an equivalent STEM degree. U.S. citizenship required. Must be willing to obtain FAA certification. Preferred Ability to receive and understand technical direction and meet assignment dates. Experience in verification of requirements. Experience in test procedure development. Experience with commercial or open‑source test automation tools, such as Jenkins, Grafana dashboards, Gherkin/Cucumber, Selenium, and JUnit. Experience with Red Hat Linux 9.x.
