Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Shifts: 3:00 PM – 3:00 AM with flexibility to work 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM; must be available for both shift times | Weekend requirement: 6 shifts per 6-week period

Key Responsibilities

• Provide emergency nursing care to a combined adult and pediatric patient population across all ED zones
• Manage and monitor patients presenting with a wide range of acuity levels, including STEMI, stroke, sprains, lacerations, and high-acuity conditions
• Administer and monitor IV drips including routine vasopressors, insulin, and sedation medications
• Maintain patient ratios of 4:1, with the ability to flex to 5:1 during peak census periods
• Perform NIHSS assessments and apply stroke protocol as indicated

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of emergency department nursing experience
• Experience caring for both adult and pediatric patients in an emergency setting (no separate pediatric area; peds patients seen in all zones)
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• Current PALS certification
• Current NIHSS certification

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification preferred
• Experience managing drips including vasopressors, insulin, and sedation in an emergency care environment
