Employer sponsorship for employment visas or work permits is not available for this position.The RoleAs the Electrical & Controls Engineer you will expand the sale and rental of temporary and portable control systems for dewatering equipment. You will accomplish this by assisting sales, application engineering, service and operations with equipment selection, pumping control system design and troubleshooting technical issues.What You'll Do:Prepare submittal documents for customersDevelop control system layout and wiring schematic drawings in AutoCADProvide assistance to field technicians during job startupsReview product specifications to select pump and control related equipmentTroubleshoot performance issues with rental equipmentPerform job walks with sales personnel and answer technical questions for employees and customersAssist with control system performance testingComplete Pumps 101 trainingParticipate in 8-week apprenticeship in electrical and mechanical shop activitiesHigh Impact Behaviors:• Continuous Professional Development: Professionals should be committed to lifelong learning, seeking out opportunities for self-improvement, and staying abreast of industry trends and best practices.• Collaboration and Teamwork: Effective professionals understand the value of collaboration. They set high standards for their own performance and are committed to achieving objectives efficiently and effectively.What You'll Bring:• A bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline• 2+ years of experience in industrial automation and control• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, engineering specifications, and P&IDs• PLC/HMI programming experience• Experience with electrical control panel design, system integration, and commissioning• Basic understanding of fluid hydraulics• General knowledge of diesel engines, pumps, and control systems• Ability to handle multiple projects, prioritize, meet deadlines, and work independently in a fast-paced environment• Strong troubleshooting, communication (written and verbal), and teamwork skills• Ability to travel frequently with little notice and for extended periods of timePreferred Qualifications:• Experience with water or wastewater treatment systems• Experience with Red Lion or other PLC Platforms• AutoCAD and SCADA integration experienceWORK ENVIRONMENTThe work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
