Role Description The General Manager is a full-time, on-site leadership role based in North NJ, responsible for overseeing all aspects of daily restaurant operations. This includes managing staff scheduling, training, and performance, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining high standards of food quality, safety, and cleanliness. The role involves monitoring sales and profitability, controlling labor and inventory costs, and executing company initiatives to drive growth and operational efficiency. The General Manager will lead, coach, and develop the management and crew teams, handle staffing needs and conflict resolution, and foster a positive, inclusive work environment aligned with Yum & Chill’s culture and brand standards. The role also requires regular reporting, adherence to franchise and regulatory requirements, and active participation in local store marketing and community engagement efforts. Qualifications Experience in restaurant or retail management, including overseeing daily operations, staff supervision, and customer service. Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop employees at all levels. Operational and financial acumen, including familiarity with scheduling, inventory control, budgeting, and basic P&L review. Knowledge of food safety, sanitation standards, and compliance with health, safety, and labor regulations. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with guests, team members, and stakeholders. Proven problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict-resolution skills in a fast-paced environment. Comfort with restaurant technology, POS systems, and basic computer applications (e.g., email, spreadsheets, reporting tools). Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed for restaurant operations. Prior experience with quick-service restaurants or multi-unit franchise operations is preferred.
