SharePoint Online Project Lead

Job Summary:

The Project Lead Programmer will plan, design, administer, modernize, and optimize SharePoint Online sites, flows, and configurations to align with business goals. This role involves collaborating with various business units to deliver scalable solutions using SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365 tools, ensuring effective site management and governance within the organization. Responsibilities:

• Design, administer, and maintain functionality of SharePoint Online sites, subsites, and links.
• Manage security groups, advanced settings, and permissions using Entra ID best practices.
• Perform site and content permission audits in accordance with agency standards.
• Collaborate with site owners to enhance departmental SharePoint site functionality.
• Manage site layout structure, content, workflows, and automation.
• Provide SharePoint Online support and training to end users and training departments.
• Review usage reports and remove unused sites.
• Create and maintain documentation of SharePoint services, settings, configuration, and architecture.
• Provide project updates and stay current with Microsoft platform roadmap.
• Manage site quotas, file size limits, and integrate other Microsoft 365 applications.
• Plan, organize, review, and implement project milestones through completion.
• Create architecture diagrams and technology navigation maps.
• Configure and manage site collections, hubs, libraries, lists, and permissions.
• Implement governance standards, taxonomy, metadata, and content management policies.
• Manage environment lifecycle including provisioning, archival, and decommissioning of sites.

Required Skills & Certifications:

• 5+ years experience with SharePoint Online (Office 365), M365 hybrid infrastructure, Microsoft Windows platform, advanced permissions, and Entra ID.
• 5+ years experience with SharePoint Framework (SPFx) for customizing/integrating M365 applications.
• 5+ years experience with front-end design and UI/UX.
• 5+ years experience implementing SharePoint roadmap enhancements and developing technical runbooks.
• 5+ years experience creating and maintaining workflows and Power Automate configurations.
• Strong understanding of SharePoint Online best practices and technical documentation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for business and technical audiences.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical or business field or equivalent experience.
• Must currently reside in SC, NC, or GA and be willing to relocate to SC at own expense.
• Must pass 7-year background and credit checks, 7-year motor vehicle record check, and fingerprinting.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

• Experience with data governance, frameworks, and policy documentation.
• Advanced knowledge of business processes.
• Strong understanding of PowerShell.
• Microsoft Power Platform certifications.
• Microsoft 365 certifications.

Special Considerations:

• Must be willing to relocate to South Carolina at own expense if not currently residing there.
• Subject to extensive background, credit, motor vehicle record checks, and fingerprinting.
• Work requires compliance with agency security and governance standards.

Scheduling:

• Full-time position, 40 hours per week.
• Work location is fully onsite in South Carolina (zip code 29016).
