Research Engineer

Overview We\'re working with one of the fastest-growing AI platforms helping e-commerce businesses boost performance online. The team is led by sharp founders (ex-Uber, successful exits) and has raised $8.2M from Figma, Y Combinator, Vercel, and General Catalyst. They\'re hiring a senior full-stack engineer to join a lean, high-impact team focused on building modern product experiences used by hundreds of thousands of users. In this role, you\'ll be a key contributor to major initiatives across AI-driven product workflows, checkout systems, analytics, inventory management, and 3rd-party integrations. You\’ll own features from architecture to production, there are no layers of bureaucracy, and your decisions directly impact users and the business. In just 18 months they\’ve scaled from 30 - 3,000+ customers and hit $6M ARR, with huge runway ahead. As the company grows, you\’ll have the opportunity to define technical direction, establish best practices, and mentor other engineers. Responsibilities Drive end-to-end execution of key projects across the stack—from planning and architecture to delivery Partner directly with founders to shape long-term product and platform strategy Lead and mentor other engineers while fostering a high-performance, collaborative culture Interface with high-visibility stakeholders to move fast on critical priorities Deliver high-quality code that\'s easy to maintain and scale, with strong documentation Help define hiring strategies and assist in building a world-class engineering team Minimum Qualifications 4+ years of software development experience Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience Prior experience owning major cross-functional projects Built products from 0 to 1 with real users and revenue Operate independently with minimal input from product/design Strong communication and documentation skills Product-minded and customer-obsessed Comfortable with ambiguity and fast-paced decision-making Committed to continuous shipping and iterating fast Experience leading teams in a technical or people capacity Founded or co-founded a startup Prior experience at a Series A or earlier company Attend hackathons or enjoy rapid prototyping Have a design eye or familiarity with tools like Figma Prefer solving real-world problems over grinding Leetcode Total comp: 200-300k base Seniority level Mid-Senior level Employment type Full-time Job function Engineering, Finance, and Information Technology Industries Financial Services, Capital Markets, and Software Development Get notified about new Full Stack Engineer jobs in New York City Metropolitan Area . #J-18808-Ljbffr Goliath Partners
