Nutrition Care Associate

Job Description Performs a variety of food and guest service duties under general supervision. Responsibilities include patient meal tray assembly and delivery, cashier, food assembly, food serving, and cleaning. This position will vary by facility needs. Posting Specifics Pay Rate: Based on experience Shift Details: Full‑time (36–40 hrs/wk). Primarily 8‑hour shifts from early morning (5:30 am) to late afternoon/evening (3:30 pm). Rotating weekends and holidays required. Location: McKay Dee Hospital Culinary Services, Ogden, Utah Qualifications Food Handler Permit or ServSafe certification required by first day of work (Utah and Idaho). Demonstrated ability to work with modified diets (preferred). Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer service (preferred). Essential Functions Delivers and presents trays to patients using the standard process. Performs food preparation functions according to system standards (prepare salads, sandwiches, vegetables, fruit). Follows standardized nutrition service practices (dining experience, meal delivery, stock levels). Performs housekeeping functions—cleaning and sanitizing surfaces, floor care, equipment (oven, fryer, hood). Performs accurate cash/credit transactions and resolves basic customer service issues. Frequent communication with customers. Manual dexterity for manipulating equipment, including computer, phone setup. Lift, pull, push equipment and items up to heavy weights; work on hands, knees, bend for setup, troubleshooting, transport. Stand for long periods. Tolerate extreme temperatures (grill, refrigerator) and cleaning chemicals. Hours and Pay 36 hours per week. Hourly rate: $17.68–$22.99, depending on experience.
