Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Opportunity in Lafayette & Kokomo, IN - Pain Management

This PRN Certified Surgical Technologist role offers flexible, as-needed coverage across two ambulatory surgery centers. You’ll be a key part of the surgical team supporting efficient room flow, sterile technique, and safe patient care. This is a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) opportunity with exposure to a range of interventional and surgical cases.

Practice Overview

• PRN CST support in ambulatory surgery settings, working directly with physicians, nursing, anesthesia, and other surgical team members
• Core responsibilities include room setup, sterile field maintenance, counts, intra-procedure support, and room turnover
• Specialty procedure exposure may include MILD, Intracept, PNS and SCS trials/implants, ACDF, kyphoplasty, and LinQ SI joint fusion
• Instrument processing and infection prevention duties: cleaning/packaging, IFU adherence, sterilization documentation, and equipment checks

Schedule

• PRN/as-needed based on surgery schedules, staffing needs, and specialty procedure dates
• Expected to accept and fulfill agreed PRN shifts/procedure dates; communicate availability and conflicts in an appropriate timeline
• Travel between Lafayette and Kokomo centers as operationally needed; you’ll be assigned a designated home base location
• Fast-paced perioperative workflow with readiness expectations prior to each case and between-case turnover support

Compensation

• PRN position; pay rate based on experience
• Mileage reimbursement may apply when required to travel to a work location other than your designated home base (per policy)

 

Candidate Requirements

• Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification required
• Current BLS certification required
• Ambulatory surgery and/or surgical experience preferred; pain management, spine, orthopedic, or specialty procedure experience preferred
• Comfort with sterile technique, instrumentation, infection prevention, and maintaining a safe sterile environment; ability to travel between sites
