Data Analyst QA Lead

Location: Remote Job Summary
We are looking for a highly experienced Data Analyst - QA Lead with strong expertise in AWS, Python, SQL, and PL/SQL . This is a hybrid role combining data analysis, data validation, quality assurance, and technical QA leadership.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing complex datasets, validating data quality and business rules, developing SQL/PL-SQL queries, supporting Python-based data analysis and automation, and leading QA activities across data-driven applications and processes.
Key Responsibilities

Lead QA activities for data-centric applications, platforms, and workflows.

Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into test scenarios and data validation strategies.

Perform detailed data analysis and data validation using SQL and PL/SQL.

Develop complex SQL queries to validate data integrity, completeness, accuracy, and transformation logic.

Use Python for data analysis, validation, automation, and test scripting.

Perform ETL/data pipeline testing and validate data movement across systems.

Identify data discrepancies, investigate root causes, and coordinate defect resolution.

Develop and execute functional, integration, regression, system, and data validation testing.

Create and maintain test plans, test cases, test scenarios, test data, and QA documentation.

Lead defect identification, triage, tracking, root-cause analysis, and resolution.

Validate data and applications hosted in AWS cloud environments .

Work with AWS services and cloud-based data platforms to support testing and data analysis.

Collaborate with developers, data engineers, business analysts, and stakeholders to resolve complex technical issues.

Prepare QA status reports, test metrics, defect reports, and release-readiness assessments.

Support continuous improvement of QA processes, automation, and data quality practices.

Provide technical guidance and leadership to QA team members as required.

Required Skills

Strong experience in Data Analysis and Quality Assurance .

Hands-on experience with AWS and cloud-based applications/data environments.

Strong Python programming and scripting skills.

Advanced SQL skills.

Strong PL/SQL experience.

Experience with database testing and data validation.

Experience with ETL/data pipeline testing.

Strong understanding of QA methodologies and SDLC.

Experience creating test cases, test scenarios, and test plans.

Strong defect management and troubleshooting skills.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills

Experience with AWS data services and cloud-based data pipelines.

Experience with Python-based QA automation.

Experience with Oracle databases and PL/SQL.

Experience validating large datasets and complex data transformations.

Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Experience with CI/CD and DevOps environments.

Knowledge of data warehousing and ETL processes.

Experience with QA automation frameworks and testing tools.
