Description

• Assess patients ranging from children to the elderly utilizing recognized evaluation tools and observational methods.
• Create tailored treatment plans focusing on immediate objectives as well as long-term language, cognitive, or swallowing goals.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions designed to enhance communication, articulation, fluency, and swallowing abilities.
• Work closely alongside physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and physicians, fostering a unified approach to patient care.
• Educate patients and their families to support treatment progress beyond clinical visits.
• Participate occasionally in inpatient speech therapy assessments and treatments, ensuring seamless care throughout the recovery process.
• Document clinical findings and treatment plans accurately in accordance with state, federal, and organizational regulations.
• Stay abreast of industry developments through continuous education and collaboration with peers.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification obtained within 30 days of hire.
