Job Responsibilities

• Conduct evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients utilizing standardized assessments and observational practices.
• Create tailor-made treatment plans that cater to both immediate milestones and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
• Implement one-on-one interventions targeting various aspects of communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
• Work collaboratively with a team of physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and family members to foster comprehensive treatment strategies.
• Provide education and resources to patients and families, supporting progress beyond therapy sessions.
• Facilitate occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and treatments to ensure a seamless continuity of care.
• Maintain meticulous documentation that aligns with regulated standards and organizational policies.
• Engage in ongoing education and peer collaboration to stay informed about advancements in the field.

Educational Requirements

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is pending.

Certifications Needed

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
