Our products support commercial, mechanical, and residential plumbing, along with water works and hydronics supplies. Our Water Works division is a leading supplier of water, wastewater, and storm drain products, including HDPE pipe and fusion machines. We also operate a Fixture Gallery showroom featuring high-end kitchen and bathroom fixtures and finishes. Overview of the Role This is a high-impact leadership role overseeing a fast-paced warehouse operation of approximately 40 team members. You’ll primarily operate from within the warehouse office while staying closely connected to daily activity on the floor. Success in this position comes from strong prioritization and delegation. Rather than stepping in to handle every issue yourself, you’ll empower your team to resolve challenges—ensuring efficiency while maximizing your leadership impact. You’ll lead a structured team that includes 2 Operations Supervisors, along with key roles such as an Inventory Lead and Dispatch Lead. You’ll also have the support of an experienced Assistant Branch Manager who previously held this position. We’re looking for a coach—not a taskmaster. Someone who genuinely cares about their team, develops people, and contributes to a strong, team-based culture. Schedule Warehouse operates across two shifts between 4:00 AM – 6:00 PM Typical Operations Manager schedule: 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM (Monday–Friday) Flexibility is available as long as leadership coverage is maintained (an Ops Supervisor present at all times) What You’ll Do Oversee daily warehouse operations in a high-volume, team-driven environment Lead, coach, and develop a team of 40 employees, including 2 Operations Supervisors Provide ongoing coaching, performance reviews, and counseling Stay hands-on when needed—training and demonstrating best practices on the floor Manage inventory processes, including cycle counting and reconciliation Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and company policies Lead hiring efforts: review applications, conduct interviews, and select candidates Communicate effectively across all levels—from leadership to entry-level staff Prioritize workflow and delegate tasks strategically to maximize efficiency Partner with Inventory, Dispatch, and other team leads to keep operations running smoothly What We’re Looking For Proven experience in warehouse management or operations leadership Strong leadership style centered on coaching, accountability, and team development Hands-on approach with the ability to lead from the floor when needed Strong delegation and prioritization skills—you know how to leverage your team Experience with inventory systems, cycle counting, and logistics processes Familiarity with DOT regulations is a plus Excellent communication skills across all levels of an organization Experience with behavioral-based interviewing and hiring Why You’ll Love It Here Strong, team-based culture that values collaboration and support Opportunity to lead a large, impactful operation Work alongside experienced leadership, including a supportive Assistant Branch Manager A role where you can truly develop people and make a difference How to Apply Apply Online: At Express Employment Professionals, we’re here to help you find the job that’s the right fit – and we never charge a fee for our services.
