Qualifications & Requirements:

• Valid RN license
• Certified School Nurse credential or a Master's degree in School Nursing
• Current certification and state licensure as required
• Experience with tracheostomy, gastrostomy tubes (g-tube), and ventilator care
• Strong assessment, documentation, and communication skills
• Knowledge of pediatric health needs in a school environment
• Organized, reliable, and able to adapt to different school settings

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform skills assessments for LVNs, focusing on trach, g-tube, and vent care
• Evaluate the competency and comfort level of LVNs with specialized clinical procedures
• Ensure LVN practices adhere to school health guidelines and state regulations
• Collaborate with school nursing staff to maintain continuity and safety of student care
• Provide education, resources, and clinical feedback when needed
• Maintain thorough and accurate records of assessments
