BIM/VDC Assistant ManagerAt Jacobs, we're challenging today to reinvent tomorrow by solving the world's most critical problems for thriving cities, resilient environments, mission-critical outcomes, operational advancement, scientific discovery and cutting-edge manufacturing, turning abstract ideas into realities that transform the world for good.We are seeking a highly motivated BIM/VDC Assistant Manager to support the planning, development, implementation, and management of Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) processes across complex design-build construction projects. This individual will play a key role in coordinating multidisciplinary project teams, driving model-based collaboration, and advancing digital delivery standards from preconstruction through project completion.The ideal candidate will possess extensive construction industry experience, advanced technical proficiency with Autodesk Revit, and a strong understanding of design-build project execution. Experience within the water and wastewater industry is preferred but not required.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the development and execution of BIM and VDC strategies across multiple projects.Lead model coordination efforts among engineering, design, construction, and subcontractor teams.Develop and maintain BIM Execution Plans (BEPs), project standards, and modeling workflows.Manage model quality control, clash detection, and issue resolution using BIM coordination tools.Facilitate multidisciplinary coordination meetings and track model-related action items.Support project teams with constructability reviews, digital planning, and field integration.Develop and maintain project-specific Revit content, templates, and standards.Train and mentor project teams on BIM/VDC processes, tools, and best practices.Coordinate the integration of models with scheduling, estimating, and construction planning activities.Assist in evaluating and implementing emerging technologies and digital construction workflows.Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and construction personnel to ensure BIM deliverables support project objectives.Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, quality, and project outcomes.Required QualificationsMinimum 10 years of experience in architecture, engineering, construction, or related industries.Minimum 5 years of BIM/VDC leadership or coordination experience on large-scale construction projects.Expert-level proficiency with Autodesk Revit.Strong understanding of design-build project delivery methodologies.Experience managing multidisciplinary models and coordination processes.Working knowledge of construction means, methods, sequencing, and field operations.Proficiency with Autodesk Construction Cloud, Navisworks, and related BIM/VDC technologies.Experience developing BIM standards, workflows, and quality assurance procedures.Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.Preferred QualificationsExperience supporting water and wastewater treatment facilities, pump stations, pipelines, or related infrastructure projects.Experience working on industrial, process, or heavy civil construction projects.Familiarity with 4D scheduling, 5D estimating, reality capture, laser scanning, and digital twin technologies.Experience implementing BIM/VDC workflows in a design-build environment.Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related discipline.Relevant Autodesk or industry certifications.Key CompetenciesTechnical BIM expertiseDesign-build project executionModel coordination and clash resolutionTeam leadership and mentoringConstruction technology innovationProblem-solving and decision-makingCross-functional collaborationContinuous improvement mindsetPosted Salary Range: Minimum 135,800.00 Posted Salary Range: Upper 212,150.00Our health and welfare benefits are designed to invest in you, and in the things you care about.
