Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA), BMT and Cell Therapy

Job Overview Day – 12 Hour (United States of America) BMT and Cell Therapy Advanced Practice Provider in the Inpatient setting and Infusion Treatment Area to support allogeneic, autologous and CAR‑T therapy patients. This is a Stanford Health Care position. Responsibilities Provide medical services consistent with education, training and experience, under supervision of a supervising physician. Consult with a physician for tasks beyond level of competence and refer appropriately. Evaluate and treat patients with acute, chronic complaints and health maintenance concerns according to standardized written procedures. Obtain complete histories, conduct physical examinations and assess findings on new and returning patients. Perform or request diagnostic studies as indicated, and obtain or interpret results. Administer, order, furnish, and prescribe medications following written procedures. Order and collect specimens for laboratory tests, screening, and therapeutic procedures. Order physical therapy, occupational therapy, respiratory therapy, radiology examinations, and nursing services. Perform designated procedures after demonstrating competency where applicable. Obtain informed consent when indicated. Initiate arrangements for hospital admissions and discharges and complete appropriate paperwork. Enroll patients in investigational studies approved by the Institutional Review Board (IRB) and order necessary tests and medications. Assist supervising physician in the operating room as required. Fulfill duties as RN First Assistant by assisting the surgeon under supervision of the surgeon and adhering to standardized procedures. Recognize age‑specific needs of patients and ensure clear communication with patients, families, staff, and community members. Respond to situations requiring immediate physician attention and initiate life‑saving procedures. Coordinate inpatient and outpatient care and services as necessary. Facilitate collaboration between providers and coordinate community resources. Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory and clinical policies and procedures. Participate in quality improvement initiatives, patient teaching, and counseling. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Master’s or Doctoral degree in nursing from an accredited college or university (NPs hired prior to March 1, 2012 are exempt from this requirement). Graduate of an NP program accredited by the National League of Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC) or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). Note: New hires must meet accreditation requirement. State licensure (RN) and either Nursing Practice or Compact State Licensure and NP and NPF NP Furnishing Number. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Demonstrated competency in performing procedures listed in the institutional standard operating procedures. Compensation General pay range: $89.01 – $117.94 per hour. Final salary will be based on experience, education, specialty and training.
