Funding Specialist

Job Title

Please Note: This is a Utah-based hybrid position, which will require some regular in-office days each week. Additionally, employment with Medallion Bank is contingent on passing both a background check and maintaining a clean background.

Job Responsibilities

Responsible for the funding process of contracts received from dealers or contractors originated in an indirect lending department. Ensure smooth, quick, and efficient funding of loan contract. Involves direct communication with the dealer and the applicant to complete all funding requirements. Responds to funding inquiries from dealers or contractors and financial service providers. Performs other duties as necessary to support the goals and objectives of the department.

Qualifications

Ensure smooth, accurate, and efficient funding of loan contracts. Work with dealers or contractors and financial service providers to provide professional customer service and develop and strengthen relationships.

Skills and Experience

Written and verbal communication skills. Experience in effective contract funding is a plus but not required. Self-motivated and hard working. Must be able to handle multiple functions simultaneously and function in a fast-paced environment. Basic computer skills. Ability to successfully work in a team environment. Ability to make sound decisions and communicate decisions effectively. Willing to work on various projects as needed.

Education and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent required. Loan processing or funding experience in a consumer credit environment preferred, but willing to train the right person.

Physical Environment and Requirements

Cubicle or home office with minimal exposure to distractions or environmental hazards. Occasional overtime may be required based on business needs. Required to pass a preemployment background check and maintain a clear background.
