2026 Salary Range: $40,736.00 - $65,599.00/Year (includes locality)

The primary purpose of this position is to monitor and implement established personnel and reports security management programs, resolve security clearance problems, and process requests for security clearances, investigations, access, and entry in support of the organization's security programs. Operations Support within the Air Logistics Complex provides management control and manages administrative matters for the Air Logistics Complex. Serves as focal point for the development, coordination, and consolidation of group-level inputs for Complex, AFSC, and higher headquarters briefings, reports, visits, and other special projects. Performs CAG functions. Provides centralized management of a variety of Complex administrative programs including protocol, tours, events, awards, correspondence, mail room, suspense management, publications, facility management, Wingman Day implementation and commander's inspection program.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

1. Knowledge of common and specialized security methods, rules, regulations, and principles to provide technical work and assist security specialists in security administration and perform a wide variety of interrelated or nonstandard security assignments and resolve problems.

2. Knowledge of procedures, forms, and information and confidentiality requirements related to sensitive personal information to request security investigations and submit to the appropriate government agency.

3. Knowledge of what constitutes derogatory information, the supporting data required to complete adjudication determinations, and understanding of clearance adjudication processes and the information/criteria required.

4. Knowledge of one or more automated databases associated with a specific security function to recognize, locate, and insert data/information; support office and security operations; and produce a variety of documents and reports.

5. Ability to plan and organize work, follow instructions, and accomplish multiple ongoing projects; and ability to locate, assemble, and compose information for reports, inquiries, and limited technical correspondence.

6. Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of individuals, using a high degree of tact and diplomacy.

Additional Position Requirements:

1. Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance.

2. May occasionally be required to work other than normal duty hours.

3. This is a Drug Testing Designated Position. The employee is subject to random drug testing.

4. The actual work performed in this position has been reviewed and determined that it does not meet any of the exemption criteria defined in 5 CFR 551. This position has been designated as nonexempt.
