Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Surgical ICU (WICU) position at a major academic medical center, requiring a minimum of 2 years of current Surgical ICU experience and experience in a large hospital setting (500+ beds).

Details

• Position is based in the Weinberg Surgical ICU (WICU), a 20-bed adult unit within the Department of Surgery
• Diverse patient population including Trauma, GI Surgery, Ortho/Neuro Spine, Transplant, Vascular, Surgical ENT, and General Surgery post-surgical ICU patients
• Day shift, 12-hour shifts: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• 13-week contract
• Floating required to areas of like skill set as needed
• Epic EMR (experience preferred)

Requirements

• Active MD or Compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS certification required
• ACLS certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of current, strong Surgical ICU experience required
• Experience in a large hospital setting (500+ beds) required
• Critical Care Certification preferred
• Trauma course completion preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience (2+ assignments) preferred
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• 1 professional reference required for consideration

Additional Information

• Orientations are held on the 2nd and 4th Monday of the month
• Local candidates are accepted at the same bill rate
• 2 prior travel assignments preferred but not required
