Occupational Therapist – Gainesville, FL

A new 90-bed acute care hospital opening Spring 2026 in Gainesville, FL is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join its inpatient rehabilitation team. The hospital includes comprehensive emergency services, advanced surgical care, and a 30-bed inpatient rehab unit .

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate patients and develop individualized treatment plans.

• Provide evidence-based occupational therapy interventions.

• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team.

• Monitor patient progress, adjust care plans, and maintain accurate documentation.

• Educate patients and families on recovery and safe transitions of care.

• Supervise therapy assistants or students as needed.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.

• Active Florida Occupational Therapist license.

• 1+ year of experience preferred; new graduates are encouraged to apply .

• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.

Schedule:

• Full-time days, typically 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. , with rotating weekends (hours may vary based on department needs).

Compensation & Benefits:

• $32.52–$44.72/hour (based on experience)

• Sign-on bonus and relocation assistance available on a case-by-case basis.
