Summary Independently performs the functions of a registered nurse in direct patient care. Utilizes the nursing process in the delivery of developmentally appropriate care. Also works in collaboration with other health care professionals to provide a comprehensive plan of care to meet the patient/family needs. Responsibilities The Ambulatory Float Pool RN provides direct nursing care across 13 Children's Health Primary Care clinics throughout the DFW Metroplex. Floats between clinic locations based on staffing needs and patient volumes. Works alongside physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, and clinical support staff to deliver high-quality pediatric primary care. Responsible for patient assessments, clinical triage, patient education, care coordination, and nursing interventions. Must be comfortable adapting to different clinic environments, workflows, and teams. Ideal for an RN who enjoys variety, flexibility, and working in an outpatient pediatric setting. Work Experience How You’ll Be Successful: At least 1 year RN experience Required At least 1 year Primary Care/Telephone Triage RN experience Preferred Education Four-year Bachelor's degree in Nursing BSN Required Licenses and Certifications Current license to practice professional nursing in the State of Texas Required BLS certification approved by the American Heart Association Required A Place Where You Belong We put our people first.
