We are looking for a Network Technician I to support our carrier and voice division by deploying, configuring, and troubleshooting customer-facing network and telephony equipment. The ideal candidate has a foundational understanding of networking concepts, a willingness to learn, and a customer-first mindset. You'll work closely with our NOC and Field Services teams to ensure our customers stay connected and receive a best-in-class experience.Responsibilities:Configure and deploy equipment necessary to establish phone and data connections to customer premises equipment, interfacing with or replacing existing customer equipment as necessaryTroubleshoot IP-based telephony equipment and basic network connectivity issues under the guidance of senior techniciansTest cabling and other equipment in coordination with Field Services TechniciansAssist in monitoring core network elements and escalate issues to L2/L3 support as appropriateTake repair calls and provide clear, timely status updates to customersMaintain detailed ticket documentation including notes on steps taken, test results, and resolutionProvide 24x7 on-call support on a rotating basis, including the ability to work a flexible schedule for planned and unplanned issuesParticipate in cross-training opportunities to expand technical knowledge across voice and data platformsFollow established processes and procedures and make recommendations for improvement where identifiedQualifications, Skills, and Knowledge:Associate's degree in a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience1+ years of experience in IT support, networking, telephony, or a related technical roleCustomer-first attitude with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally, especially in high-stress situationsFoundational understanding of LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, and VoIP conceptsFamiliarity with basic hardware configuration (routers, switches, phones)Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to multitask, prioritize, and manage a ticket queue effectivelyGet-it-done mentality with a desire to learn and growPreferred:CCNA, CCENT, or other Cisco certificationsAdtran router/switch experience or certificationExperience with Netsapiens, MetaSwitch, Mitel, or Polycom VoIP and platformsPrevious NOC or help desk experienceWhat we'll bring to the table:Work-life balanceVibrant company culture and fun work environment – our values don't sit on a shelf collecting dust, we use them in all we doAbility to make an impact – your ideas and voice are important to us and are welcomed hereEmployee health is one of our top priorities!
