Shipping & Receiving Clerk

Ad-Tech Industries, Inc. is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Clerk to support the flow of incoming and outgoing products. This role is essential in ensuring accurate shipments, efficient material handling, and maintaining a safe, organized work environment. This position is empowered to identify and report any discrepancies or concerns to management.

Key responsibilities include processing and verifying incoming and outgoing shipments, loading and unloading trucks efficiently and safely, operating equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, shrink wrappers, and banders, transporting finished goods from production to the shipping department, reading and interpreting packing lists, work orders, and product identification tags, ensuring accuracy in order numbers, quantities, and shipment details, performing daily forklift inspections and basic maintenance checks, coordinating with drivers, carriers, and internal teams, maintaining organized documentation, including packing lists and shipping records, assisting with inventory, cleaning, and other assigned tasks, and following all safety procedures, including proper lifting techniques and PPE use.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED required, previous shipping/receiving or warehouse experience preferred, forklift certification preferred (or willingness to obtain), strong attention to detail and accuracy, basic math and problem-solving skills, ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, strong communication and teamwork skills, and ability to maintain professionalism with internal teams and external drivers.

Physical requirements include lifting up to 50 lbs occasionally, 35 lbs frequently, and 20 lbs continuously, standing for extended periods throughout the day, and use of required PPE including safety shoes, safety glasses, and gloves.

Work environment includes a clean, industrial setting within the shipping and receiving area, and temperature varies seasonally due to open dock doors and truck traffic.

Compensation and benefits include an hourly rate of $17.00 $21.00 per hour, based on experience and skill, opportunities for overtime may be available based on business needs, health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) retirement plan with company match, paid time off (PTO) and paid holidays, and paid training opportunities.
