Description

American Traveler is hiring a Maternal Fetal Medicine Ultrasound Technologist/Sonographer with 2+ years of experience and RVT certification to float between two facilities in the Saint Cloud area.

Details

• Float between an acute care hospital and an outpatient clinic setting
• Maternal Fetal Medicine unit performing high-risk OB, obstetrics, and vascular ultrasound studies
• Average caseload of 45 visits per day
• 4x8 hour day shifts, approximately 32 hours per week with varied start times between 7:00-7:30 AM
• Weekend coverage required approximately once every 4 to 6 weeks
• No on-call requirements
• Required to float within scope between sister facilities as needed
• Uses Epic EMR and GE ultrasound equipment with PACS system

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience required
• BLS certification required
• RVT certification required
• ARDMS credential required in Abdomen, OB/GYN, Pediatric, or MSK (multiple specialties preferred)
• Completion of a two-year Allied Health education program, Associate of Applied Science degree, or bachelor's degree from an accredited ultrasound program
• Vascular experience required, including arterial ultrasounds, bypass grafts, and stents
• Epic charting experience required
• Travel experience required
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Perform maternal fetal medicine, high-risk OB, obstetric, and vascular ultrasound studies including carotid, arterial mapping, and duplex studies
• Additional skills include abdominal, pediatric, and small parts ultrasound (thyroid, testicles/scrotum)
• Procedures may include ultrasound-guided biopsy/fine needle aspiration, paracentesis, and thoracentesis
• Holiday coverage required as needed by the facility
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this role
• Former permanent staff must be separated from the facility for at least 9 months before returning as a traveler
• Maximum of 7 days RTO permitted, with no RTO during the first 2 weeks of the assignment
• All RTO requests must be disclosed and approved at the time of submission
• Local candidates are not accepted; candidates must not live within 50 miles of either facility
• Fingerprinting and lab work must be completed within 48 hours of signing, with in-person Minnesota fingerprinting required prior to start
