Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN)We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in emergency nursing and will be proficient in medications and surgical interventions.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide direct patient care in the Emergency Room setting.Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients with varying medical conditions.Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.Participate in trauma and emergency response as needed.Monitor patient vitals and document patient information accurately.Administer medications as per established protocols.ScheduleThis position requires the ability to work flexible shifts, including:Rotation between day and night shifts.Weekend and holiday availability as required.Periodic orientation and training sessions.Qualifications2 years of ER experience and previous Medsurg experience.Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and TNCC.PALS certification is preferred.Strong assessment, organizational, and communication skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.Unit InformationThe Emergency Room operates as a Trauma Level IV facility, with a total of 4 beds and 2 trauma bays. Nurses will be responsible for patient care, and there is a designated charge nurse on each shift who also takes patient assignments.Additional InformationPosition requires flexibility to float to Med/surg and Swing beds within the same unit.Security presence is not housed in the ER but is available.Nightly patient influx averages around 10 patients per day.Scrub color is navy blue.Join us in this challenging yet rewarding environment where you can make a significant impact on patient care in the Emergency Room.
