Travel Medical-Surgical RN in West Hartford, CT

In this travel RN-Medical/Surgical role, you'll gain exposure to new workplace methodologies and a variety of leadership perspectives while working nights in a fast-paced inpatient environment. You'll be challenged to adapt to high acuity, shifting priorities, and, ideally, provide care for both Med/Surg and emergency department patients. This experience will serve as a strong asset to your professional portfolio and offer valuable growth as you adapt to the unique pace and demands of this reputable facility.


Schedule/Hours:

• 7:00 pm - 7:30 am
• 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend rotation

Qualifications:

• Active RN license
• Strong background in Medical/Surgical (MS) nursing
• Ability (preferred) to care for ED patients and respond to higher acuity needs
• Excellent clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• Strong adaptability and communication skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive patient care in an inpatient hold setting, anticipating and addressing varied acuity levels
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support patient care goals and streamlined transitions
• Document and communicate effectively within medical records and among care providers
• Maintain readiness for fluctuating admissions, including potential ED holds
