EHS Specialist

EHS Specialist – Waukesha, WI (On-Site) Vaco is partnering with a manufacturing client in Waukesha, WI to hire an experienced EHS Specialist. This role is ideal for someone who is confident, collaborative, and ready to elevate an established safety program. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage incident reporting, including conducting thorough investigations and root-cause analysis Oversee safety programs and workers’ compensation processes Drive continuous improvement and help elevate the company’s EHS program Deliver engaging EHS training across all departments Partner cross-functionally with operations, HR, leadership, and other teams to ensure alignment and compliance Travel occasionally to additional sites as needed (limited travel) Required Skills & Experience 3–5 years of EHS experience in a manufacturing environment Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization High degree of professionalism, confidentiality, and sound judgment Proficiency with MS Excel and SAP Bachelor’s degree required (EHS, Safety, Environmental Science, or related field preferred) What Makes Someone Successful in This Role Confident leading investigations and coaching others Comfortable influencing without authority Able to build trust quickly and maintain strong working relationships Passionate about safety culture and continuous improvement Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
