Senior Manager, Tax Reporting & Planning

A global organization is seeking a Senior Manager to lead worldwide tax accounting and reporting across domestic and international operations. This role partners closely with senior tax leadership to ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP (ASC 740), SOX controls, and global reporting requirements, while driving process improvements and automation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead consolidated global income tax provision (quarterly and annual) including disclosures under ASC 740
• Oversee worldwide tax reporting, policies, and procedures across regions
• Manage tax account reconciliations, roll-forwards, and variance analysis
• Analyze and account for complex items including uncertain tax positions, valuation allowances, tax law changes, and M&A impacts
• Develop and maintain cash tax and effective tax rate (ETR) models, supporting forecasting and planning
• Partner with global tax, finance, and controllership teams to resolve technical issues
• Support tax audits and maintain strong relationships with external auditors
• Ensure compliance with internal controls (SOX 404) in partnership with internal audit
• Drive process improvements, including automation and system enhancements
• Lead and mentor team members

Qualifications:

• 7+ years of tax accounting/reporting experience within a multinational environment
• Strong expertise in ASC 740 and U.S. corporate taxation
• Experience with tax provision software (e.g., OneSource preferred)
• Background combining public accounting and industry experience preferred
• CPA or MST strongly preferred
• Proven leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
