The Opportunity

Rolling Hills Hospitality is looking for a Lead Line Cook to join Pennyflower Bistro & Bar, a vibrant American bistro and bar located inside voco | The Clair Cincinnati Downtown. Inspired by Cincinnati’s rich history and local culture, Pennyflower offers a warm, welcoming atmosphere where hotel guests, local residents, and visitors can enjoy thoughtfully crafted food, handcrafted beverages, and genuine hospitality from breakfast through dinner.

In this role, you’ll bring care and consistency to every plate, prepare menu items to Pennyflower’s recipes and presentation standards, and help keep breakfast, lunch, and dinner service moving smoothly. You’ll cook alongside the team, coordinate the flow of orders, and help teammates stay prepared through busy shifts while paying close attention to timing, food quality, presentation, and safety.

$17 - $19 hourly

• Clean and sanitize all workstations, including counters, utensils, cooking equipment, and the refrigerator, in accordance with health and safety regulations
• Adhere to established storage and waste control standards for meats, vegetables, fruits, and dairy products to ensure quality food is served
• Establish a system of food stations and stock them with all of the necessary ingredients for the shift
• Demonstrate professional and pleasant demeanor when interacting with visitors, vendors, and associates
• Grill, broil or saute menu items according to standard recipes and presentation specifications

• Ability to understand and comply with kitchen sanitation, safety and equipment usage, and food storage
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with customers and other team members
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent GED certification
• Possesses a strong work ethic and have high attention to detail
• Previous experience working in food service is preferred
