Hannibal also offers an on-site fitness center and coach, an on-site credit union, and a culture employees value for its family-friendly events, including a company picnic and annual softball tournament.Your work schedule and shift information:12-hour shifts5:00 pm to 5:00 am6:00 pm to 6:00 am6:30 pm to 6:30 amMust be willing to work overtime, weekends, nights, and holidays as neededPlant operates 24 hours/day, 7 days/week.Key accountabilities:Installing, maintaining, repairing, and replacing industrial processing and packaging machinery, work tools and equipmentDesign and layout circuits, installing fixtures, wiring conduits, motors, and other electrical equipment/components, including proven ability to use multimeterIdentifying and troubleshooting mechanical issuesProviding technical support and plant leadership for equipment troubleshooting and equipment modificationsPerforming both uptime and downtime preventative maintenanceParticipate in Continuous Improvement initiatives to increase platform performanceAssist in training new employeesMinimum qualifications:High school diploma or GED2 years of experience in industrial maintenance or equivalent education in a related fieldProven ability to use multimeter and other electrical equipment/componentsWorking knowledge of PLCs, HVAC, pneumatic and hydraulic systemsExperience in a manufacturing/production environmentKnowledge of three-phase electrical systemsAbility to work rotating 12-hour shiftsMust possess the ability to understand and effectively communicate with co-workers, supervisors, and others in the workplace regarding work matters (our business is generally conducted in English)Ability to lift up to 50 lbsAbility to stand, walk, climb, bend, push, pull, and twist for extended periodsWillingness to work in hot, cold, noisy, wet, or dusty conditionsAbility to climb and/or work at heights while utilizing stairs, ladders, personnel lifts, or platformsAbility to follow human and food safety, quality, and grooming standardsAbility to wear protective clothing and equipment (Personal Protective Equipment -PPE) such as safety shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection, hard/bump cap, hair/beard net, gloves, and face masks (when required)Ability to work around high-speed machinery and food allergensPreferred qualifications:Manufacturing or production experienceApplicants must meet a minimum 18-year age qualification.General Mills is an equal opportunity employer.
