Job Details Location: Columbus, OH 43210 Setting: Cardiac Stepdown / PCU / Mixed Acuity Surgical Oncology Unit Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (Travel RN) Shift: 12-hour nights Shifts per Week: 3 Hours per Week: 36 Contract Duration: 16 weeks Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,940 - $2,040 Charting System: Epic Orientation: 72 hours Floating: May be required within scope to other acute care oncology units Job Requirements Minimum 2 years of total acute care nursing experience At least 1 year of recent PCU or cardiac stepdown experience required Current acute care experience must be recent and consistent within the last 12 months Active RN license in hand at time of submission BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required Experience with Epic charting required ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing education required Strong experience with telemetry, dysrhythmia interpretation, and stepdown-level care preferred Ability to work in a fast-paced mixed-acuity environment caring for adult and geriatric patients Responsibilities Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a busy cardiac stepdown and surgical oncology PCU Monitor and manage patients with varying acuity, including medical-surgical and progressive care needs Administer chemotherapy, IV antibiotics, blood transfusions, insulin drips, and heparin drips as ordered Recognize and respond to oncologic emergencies, including cytokine release syndrome Perform and support chest tube care, telemetry monitoring, and dysrhythmia management Maintain a strong focus on infection prevention and fall prevention practices Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver safe, coordinated patient care Document accurately in Epic and support efficient unit flow in a high-volume healthcare environment Adapt to changing patient needs and assist with floating as needed within scope of practice Apply now for this Cardiac Stepdown Registered Nurse travel assignment in Columbus, Ohio, and join a healthcare team committed to clinical excellence.
