Labor & Delivery RN – Labor & Delivery

Schedule: 4 weekend shifts per month (Friday or Saturday nights) On-call: Voluntary; RN may be placed on call if not needed for scheduled shift

Assignment Details: Orientation: 36 hours

Requirements: Minimum 3 years clinical experience Active RN license required at submission Required certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Advanced EPIC experience required

Roles & Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in labor and delivery units. Monitor fetal heart rate patterns and assist in the recognition and treatment of abnormal findings. Circulate during C-section procedures. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care. Support patients and families during labor, delivery, and the postpartum period. Float to Perinatal unit as needed.

Compliance / Notes: RTO must be submitted with the application; no RTO for the first two weeks of assignment; maximum of 3 days RTO allowed; 1 holiday RTO may be submitted but is not guaranteed; must work most holidays. Candidates with license restrictions, disciplinary actions, or background findings may be disqualified. Advanced EKG exam required prior to start (two attempts permitted; 80% minimum). Required pre-start modules will be tracked; some billable time allowed.
