Registered Nurse - Operating Room/CirculatingThe Registered Nurse - Operating Room/Circulating is responsible for providing high-quality nursing care in the operating room setting. The position involves managing a wide range of elective and emergency surgical cases, ensuring efficient multi-tasking, and maintaining timely surgical proceedings throughout the workday.Shift Information4/10-hour days, Tuesday through FridayOn-call coverage required (1/3 share)Position SummaryThis role requires a skilled nurse to support the Operating Room by handling various surgical procedures, which include abdominal, thoracic, urology, ENT, plastic, orthopedics, vascular, and OB/GYN cases. The nurse will utilize after-hour call services to ensure adequate staffing for nights, holidays, and weekends.QualificationsGraduate of an accredited nursing program (BSN, Associate degree in nursing, or Diploma in nursing)High school diploma or GEDA valid, current, and unrestricted RN license in the State of AlaskaA minimum of 3 years of experience in the Operating RoomCertifications/RequirementsBasic Life Support (BLS)Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)Additional QualificationsExperience in Critical Access Hospitals and/or Rural Operating Rooms is strongly preferred.Please note: This position does not offer housing or transportation for travelers; arrangements for these needs are the responsibility of the agency recruited by the nurse.Start date will be contingent upon the timely processing of required documentation.
