Immediate opening for a  Materials Planner in  Las Vegas, NV who possesses:

• Project experience related to supply chain, purchasing, or operations is a plus
• Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems preferred but not required
• Basic understanding of production planning, inventory, or logistics concepts

FULL DESCRIPTION:   We are seeking a Materials Planner to support procurement, material planning, and supply chain operations within a growing manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for ensuring materials are delivered on time, aligned with production schedules, and managed according to business needs. The selected candidate will proactively manage material availability, communicate with suppliers, address shortages and exceptions, maintain accurate reporting, and support continuous improvement within the supply chain process.

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

• Placing and managing purchase orders in line with demand and MRP recommendations
• Ensuring purchase orders are generated within required timelines
• Taking ownership of material availability for assigned parts to prevent production impact
• Communicating with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery and drive corrective actions when schedules are not met
• Proactively identifying, managing, and escalating material shortages
• Communicating material risks to production teams in advance
• Collaborating with production and kitting teams to ensure alignment with build requirements
• Monitoring supplier performance and resolving delivery discrepancies
• Managing order discrepancies including lost, damaged, modified, or cancelled orders
• Actioning modification requests and updates in a timely manner
• Optimizing inventory through effective use of MRP parameters
• Supporting reduction of excess, obsolete, and inactive stock
• Maintaining accurate reporting, including material status sheets and KPI tracking
• Resolving invoice queries and confirming requisition delivery dates to production
• Proactively resolving supplier issues
• Supporting continuous improvement and supply chain development initiatives
• Delivering performance against key operational KPIs including schedule execution, overdue purchase orders, shortage communication, supplier on-time delivery, delivery discrepancy resolution, and inventory reduction

The selected candidate will also possess:

• Project experience related to supply chain, purchasing, or operations preferred
• Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems preferred but not required
• Basic understanding of production planning, inventory, or logistics concepts
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• High attention to detail with strong organizational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools
• Proactive approach to managing material risks and resolving supply issues
• Ability to communicate effectively with suppliers, production teams, kitting teams, and internal stakeholders
• Ability to meet deadlines and support production needs in a timely manner
• Ability to work onsite in a manufacturing or supply chain environment

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods while managing purchase orders, reports, supplier communication, and inventory data
• Ability to communicate by phone, email, and in person throughout the workday
• Ability to review spreadsheets, ERP/MRP systems, reports, and material status documentation for extended periods
• Ability to occasionally stand, walk, and move throughout office, warehouse, production, or kitting areas as needed
• Ability to occasionally lift, carry, or move standard office, inventory, or supply chain materials as needed
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment while following applicable safety procedures

Salary Range: $24/hour
