Job Summary
Energo is seeking a positive, goal-oriented Solar Canvasser to join our team as a 1099 Independent Contractor, reporting to the Vice President, Solar division. We are looking for driven individuals who want to break into solar sales or build on existing door-to-door experience. If you're looking for a strong opportunity, competitive compensation, and hands-on training, we want to speak with you.
Duties and Responsibilities
As a Solar Canvasser, you will be on the frontlines of lead generation and face-to-face customer interaction. Your primary duties will be knocking on doors, setting appointments on the spot, and collecting customer information such as name, phone number, email, length of time in the residence, and a copy of their current electric bill. Your main goal is to present homeowners with a clean, renewable alternative to their current power bill — solar.
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to
- Use public platforms to generate qualified solar appointments
- Canvass assigned territories door-to-door to generate leads and set appointments
- Use call, email, text, and other communications to identify the validity and potential of the customer
- Door-to-door lead generation and D2D appointment setting
- Represent the company in an esteemed and professional manner
- Learn to operate a sales app that tracks your whereabouts, location, and doors knocked
- Become proficient in how solar works
- Recruit, train and lead additional appointment setters while earning commissions off their appointments
- Hold team members accountable to performance goals
- Work closely with management to grow the New York market
