Travel RN - Telemetry

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Telemetry RN with a NC or compact license and at least 2 years of cardiac telemetry experience for a 13-week assignment.

Job Details

• Work in a 24-bed Telemetry unit within a cardiac specialty department,
• Generalized cardiac patient population ranging from young adults to elderly adults,
• Patient ratio of 4:1,
• Common diagnoses include chest pain, A-fib, and CHF, with pre and post care for cardiac caths (groin and radial) and VATS procedures,
• Uses Life Pak, Zoll, Masimo, and Cerner equipment and systems,
• Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM,
• Required to work every other weekend,
• May occasionally float to IMCU, NPCU, and/or Surgical units,

Job Requirements

• Active RN license (NC or compact) currently in hand,
• Current certifications: BLS and ACLS (AHA),
• Minimum 2 years of cardiac telemetry nursing experience required,
• Associate's degree required,
• Experience with Life Pak, Zoll, and Masimo equipment required,
• Cerner experience preferred,
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration,

Additional Information

• Provide telemetry nursing care to a family-oriented cardiac unit,
• Any scrub color is acceptable,
• Candidates must live 60 miles or greater from the facility to qualify for the travel rate,
• Travelers who have worked permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible,
• Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full time,
• Must begin assignment on one of the designated orientation start dates
