JOB DESCRIPTION DETAILS Job Summary: Assists the nursing staff and/or the physician/physicians assistant in the delivery of patient care. Education: Position requires a high school diploma or GED. Registration/Certification/Licensure: CNA License Experience: Position requires 0-6 months equivalent combination of education and experience in related area. Other Requirements: Maintains unit specific and hospital competencies in accordance with policy requirements Maintains unit-specific and hospital competencies, mandatory learning, and any clinical certifications required in accordance with the Staff Education and Training policy GA-057 and/or any other department requirements. FLSA Status: Non-Exempt TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES Principle Duties and Responsibilities: Assists patients with activities of daily living using proper body mechanics or lifting devices Performs clerical and/or supply replenishment duties Performs basic procedures according to the technical skills list under the direction/supervision of the RN Communicates data/observations to the RN Adheres to National Patient Safety Goals
