Senior Project ManagerThe Senior Project Manager is responsible for the overall planning, execution, financial performance, and successful completion of complex industrial projects. This position provides leadership throughout the project lifecycle, from preconstruction and project planning through execution, closeout, and turnover. The Senior Project Manager serves as a primary point of contact between Taurus Industrial Group (TIG), clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams. The role is accountable for maintaining project safety, quality, schedule, cost, and customer expectations while identifying risks and ensuring projects meet established operational and financial objectives.Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred; equivalent industry experience may be considered.Minimum of 8 years of progressively responsible project management or construction experience in an industrial environment.Demonstrated experience managing large, complex, or multiple concurrent industrial projects.Experience managing project budgets, forecasts, schedules, change orders, subcontractors, and project documentation.Strong understanding of industrial construction methods, field operations, and project controls.Experience working within petrochemical, refining, chemical, power generation, manufacturing, or similar industrial facilities preferred.Proficiency with Microsoft Office and applicable project management, scheduling, and cost-control systems.Valid driver's license and ability to meet company driving requirements when driving is an essential function of the position.Ability to travel to project and customer locations as required.Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesStrong knowledge of industrial construction and project management principles.Ability to manage projects from planning through final completion and closeout.Strong financial and commercial understanding, including budgets, cost forecasting, margins, productivity, and change management.Ability to develop, interpret, and manage project schedules and milestones.Strong leadership skills with the ability to direct project managers, superintendents, supervisors, subcontractors, and project support personnel.Ability to identify project risks and implement appropriate corrective actions.Strong contract administration and change-order management skills.Effective negotiation, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with clients, operations personnel, vendors, and subcontractors.Ability to prioritize competing demands and manage multiple projects or workstreams simultaneously.Essential FunctionsProvide overall leadership and accountability for assigned industrial projects from planning through completion.Develop project execution plans, schedules, budgets, staffing requirements, and performance objectives.Ensure projects are executed safely and in accordance with TIG policies, customer requirements, applicable regulations, and established HSE expectations.Monitor project costs, labor productivity, committed costs, revenue, margin, forecasts, and overall financial performance.Review project financial results and identify trends, risks, and corrective actions necessary to maintain project objectives.Manage project schedules, milestones, resource requirements, and coordination between field and support functions.Review contracts, scopes of work, specifications, drawings, purchase orders, and other project requirements.Identify scope changes and ensure change orders, additional work authorizations, and supporting documentation are properly developed and submitted.Maintain regular communication with clients regarding project status, schedule, performance, changes, risks, and upcoming requirements.Coordinate with Operations, Safety, Quality, Engineering, Procurement, Human Resources, and other internal departments as required.Provide leadership and direction to project management and field leadership personnel.Oversee subcontractor and vendor performance, including scope, schedule, quality, safety, and commercial requirements.Conduct or participate in project kickoff meetings, progress meetings, forecasting reviews, and project closeout activities.Monitor project documentation to ensure records are complete, accurate, and maintained in accordance with company and customer requirements.Identify potential delays, cost overruns, productivity concerns, contractual risks, and other project issues and develop appropriate mitigation plans.Support estimating, proposals, constructability reviews, and project planning for new or expanded work.Assist with customer development and identify opportunities for additional work or expanded services.Ensure projects are properly closed out, including completion of outstanding documentation, financial reconciliation, customer turnover, and lessons learned.Mentor and develop Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, and other project personnel as assigned.Perform other duties as assigned.Physical DemandsAbility to regularly sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, and move throughout office and active industrial project environments.Ability to walk on uneven terrain, gravel, concrete, and other industrial surfaces.Ability to climb stairs and ladders as necessary to access project work areas.Ability to work at various elevations and around active construction and industrial operations.Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) for extended periods.Ability to visually inspect construction activities, equipment, materials, drawings, and completed work.Ability to communicate effectively in environments with moderate to elevated noise levels.Ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull materials or equipment weighing up to 30 pounds.Ability to perform extended computer-based and administrative work associated with project planning, scheduling, reporting, forecasting, and communication.Work EnvironmentThis position works in a combination of office, industrial facility, construction site, and customer environments. The employee may be exposed to outdoor weather conditions, elevated noise levels, moving equipment, construction activities, chemicals, dust, fumes, and other conditions commonly associated with industrial facilities. The position may require travel, extended work hours, and work outside normal business hours, including nights, weekends, or holidays, based on project schedules, outages, emergencies, and customer requirements. Required PPE must be worn while working in designated areas.
