Description

American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a Labor & Delivery position requiring 3 years of L&D experience and OB Triage experience.

Details

• Work in a Labor & Delivery unit providing obstetric care for patients 20+ weeks pregnant through 6 weeks postpartum
• Unit includes 14 L&D rooms, OB Triage, OB ORs, and OB PACU, including 5 newly renovated rooms with state-of-the-art equipment
• Patient ratio of 1:1-2
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 19:00-7:30
• Rotating weekends and holidays required
• No call requirements
• Block scheduling not accepted
• Meditech charting system preferred

Requirements

• Active RN license, MD or Compact license required in hand
• Minimum 3 years of current, strong L&D experience required
• OB Triage experience required
• Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NRP, and C-EFM
• Active fetal monitoring certification required, C-EFM preferred; AWHONN Intermediate accepted if C-EFM obtained for contracts extending 1 year or more
• Travel nursing experience required
• Skilled in Labor and Delivery management and circulating for C-sections
• Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
• Charge experience preferred
• Proof of residency must match candidate's licensure

• Provide comprehensive obstetric nursing care with a focus on comfort, safety, and family-centered care
• Facility is smoke-free
• Complete required pre-start training modules averaging 4-5 hours, to be finished no later than 1 week prior to start
• Accepts local candidates with no radius restrictions and consistent rates for local travelers
• RTO must be submitted with application and is reviewed on a per-case basis
• Located near Baltimore and Washington DC, offering suburban living with access to city amenities, mountain views, parks, and historic sites
