As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Badge Clerk in Chester, VA , this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you. Pay Rate: $18.17 / Hour Job Schedule DayTimeFri 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM How This Role Works Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”) : You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment. Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program : In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed. Responsibilities Provide customer service to residents, guests, and/or vendors by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location. Monitor entrances, exits, gates, and/or lobby areas to help control access to the property by verifying credentials, authorizations, and/or visitor information in accordance with site procedures. Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, and communicate relevant details to property management and/or emergency services when appropriate. Document visitor activity, deliveries, incidents, and/or unusual observations through logs, reports, and/or other required site records. Conduct regular and random patrols of residential common areas, access points, and/or perimeter locations to help identify security‑related concerns and report conditions that may need attention. Minimum Requirements Have at least 1 year of security‑related experience. Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED. Be at least 21 years of age. Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred. Access control and badge experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
