Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the execution of individualized treatment plans formulated by the supervising Physical Therapist, focusing on enhancing patients' mobility, strength, and overall functional abilities.
• Administer therapeutic exercises and utilize manual therapy techniques to facilitate patient recovery, carefully monitoring their progress throughout the treatment process.
• Implement various modalities such as ultrasound therapy, electrical stimulation, and cryotherapy in accordance with the treatment protocols established by the PT.
• Conduct routine evaluations of patient response to treatment and document their progress accurately to support ongoing clinical decision-making.
• Collaborate effectively with the supervising PT and team members to modify treatment plans as necessary based on real-time patient feedback and outcomes.
• Educate patients on home exercise programs, demonstrating safe techniques for continued rehabilitation and injury prevention measures.
• Maintain precise documentation in compliance with clinic regulations, ensuring all patient interactions are recorded accurately and timely.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our primary focus is on individuals recovering from musculoskeletal injuries, surgeries, and orthopedic conditions. As an Orthopedic PTA, you will work with a diverse population, including post-operative patients, athletes, and individuals recovering from chronic pain or injury. Qualifications

• Current, active Physical Therapist Assistant license in Virginia.
• Bachelor's Degree in an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in an orthopedic outpatient or rehabilitation setting preferred.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in orthopedic outpatient rehabilitation, specifically in managing post-surgical patients, is preferred and will be beneficial in providing effective patient care.
