Step into a rewarding role supporting students and school professionals as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) based in the Fort Pierce, FL area. This contract opportunity offers the chance to collaborate primarily at one central campus with occasional support at a nearby location, helping ensure comprehensive coverage and responsiveness for the district. Maintain a strong presence among staff and students while responding to emergent needs as they arise. Your work will directly influence the academic and emotional success of children and adolescents as they progress through critical school years.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- National BCBA certification required
- Previous experience supporting students in school settings strongly preferred
- Familiarity working with diverse K-12 populations
- Up-to-date fingerprints; district may accept transfers from AHCA clearinghouse
- Willingness to complete district onboarding, including a badge photo appointment
- A flexible, team-oriented attitude
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct functional behavior assessments
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized behavior intervention plans
- Collaborate with teachers, paraprofessionals, and families
- Provide direct and consultative behavioral support for assigned students
- Respond to district needs across two closely-located campuses
- Offer crisis or emergency support when required
- Maintain clear documentation and progress reporting in line with district policies
