Learn more about our benefits by clicking HERE Start Date: September 01, 2026 Learn more about our instructional calendar & paid holidaysby clicking HERE This position may involve direct work with students with autism, emotional and/or developmental disabilities which may include, but are not limited to, oppositional and aggressive behaviors; mood disorders; and potentially severe and unpredictable physical and/or verbal outbursts. School Psychologists are expected to: Ability to work with a diverse population of students. Provide students with a safe, orderly environment that is conducive to teaching and learning. Provide targeted interventions to teach social, emotional, behavioral regulation. Provide group and/or individual counseling using evidence-based interventions. Conduct initial evaluations, re-evaluations, and Functional Behavior Assessments. Develop, implement, and monitor behavior intervention plans and crisis management plans. Collaborate and consult with community-based providers, parents, component districts, colleagues and provide resources to meet student learning needs. Communicate regularly and effectively with stakeholders. Record and report student progress. Candidates should possess a broad skill set to engage learners of all levels including, but not limited to: Knowledge of skills related to trauma, illness, grief, crisis intervention, identifying level of functioning for students. Ability to work collaboratively as a member of a team. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Promoting equity and culturally responsive practices to create inclusive environments. Job responsibility may require individual to do one and two person lifts and/or physical interventions on a daily basis with students weighing 50-200 pounds. Position requires the successful completion of all elements of Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) training.
