Production Worker/General Laborer - Independence, OR

Compensation and Benefits Starting hourly rate $19.66, with increases at 3, 6 and 12 months and then annually. Day shift: Monday‑Friday 6:00am – 2:30pm (possible to 4:30pm) and occasional Saturdays. Job Responsibilities Participate in safety programs. Attend daily meetings with leads. Take direction from supervisors and leads. Be flexible to move within the department and plant as required by production demands. Participate in company programs that support safety, quality and production standards. Qualifications Prior woodworking, construction or manufacturing experience is a plus but not required. Attention to detail is critical. Excellent teamwork skills. Ability to read and understand production paperwork and communicate with various departments and personnel to ensure all necessary workflow documentation and paperwork is completed. Ability to read a tape measure. Must be 18 years of age or older by hire date. Must stretch at the beginning of the shift and after each break. Physical and Workplace Requirements Medium physical demand: may exert up to 50lbs of force occasionally, up to 20lbs frequently, and up to 10lbs constantly to move objects. Stand for long periods; walk, bend, squat, push, pull, twist and perform repetitive motions. Evacuate independently when the alarm sounds. Wear required PPE (gloves, steel‑toed shoes, hearing protection, eye protection). Work in environments with varying temperatures. Wear long pants; depending on the department may wear short‑ or long‑sleeved shirts. Use air‑powered tools (sanders, drills, nail and staple guns) and other power tools (portable sanders, saws, drills); company supplies PPE.
