Mechanical Project Engineer

The Role: From Concept to Completion As part of our mechanical engineering group, you will be involved in the full scope of design for commercial, industrial, and institutional projects. You will: Design & Draft: Lead the production of comprehensive mechanical design packages, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection plans. Analyze & Optimize: Perform critical calculations for HVAC loads, energy usage, and life-cycle costs to provide sustainable solutions. Collaborate in the Field: Conduct site visits for renovations and additions, gathering the 'ground-truth' data needed for successful designs. Lead Project Delivery: Generate project specifications, written reports, and system condition assessments. Support Construction: Act as a bridge during the construction phase, managing RFIs, submittal reviews, and field assessments. What You Bring Experience: 3–5+ years in mechanical system design (HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Protection) within commercial or institutional sectors. Education: B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program is preferred. Technical Knowledge: A strong working knowledge of mechanical codes and standards (including ICC, ASHRAE, and NFPA ). Project Skills: A proven ability to deliver projects on time and on budget while communicating effectively with diverse project teams.
