Registered Nurse Oncology

Overview The UH Cleveland Medical Center – Seidman Cancer Center 6 is a 30‑bed surgical oncology/MICU stepdown unit. It has 24 beds specializing in gynecologic cancers, Whipple/pancreatic‑duodenectomy procedures, brachytherapy treatment, breast and plastic surgery, and telemetry monitoring. The unit is unique with six MICU step‑down beds for patients with complex respiratory, gastro‑intestinal, endocrine, renal, and metabolic conditions. Education Requirements Diploma RN, Associate or Bachelor’s Degree of Nursing from an accredited program. License & Certification Requirements An Ohio RN license is not required to be considered for this position. If selected, employment offers may be contingent on obtaining an RN license within the timeframe discussed at the time of offer acceptance. Current BLS Provider Certification issued by the American Heart Association must be obtained during Nursing Orientation. Note: Education and degree verification will be required upon receiving a job offer. Preferred Qualifications BSN preferred – only for positions that are getting filled. Prior experience on a related unit or specialty in a practicum, internship or STNA/PCNA/NAII is preferred.
