\nPrimary Patient Population: \n

\n

• Inpatient Oncology (16 dedicated patient beds)
\n
• Cross-trained for Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT)
\n
• Medical/Surgical Overflow
\n

\n
\n
\nPrimary skills utilized/learned: \n
\n
\n

\n
• IV medication therapy, blood product transfusion, pain management
\n
• Hospice and palliative care
\n
• Ability to obtain Chemotherapy Certification
\n
• Time management, critical thinking, delegating
\n

\n
\n
\nPersonnel RN will work with: \n
\n

• LPNs, Patient Care Nursing Assistants (PCNAs), Nurse Interns, Providers
\n

\n
\nNumber of beds on unit: \n

\nRequired Qualifications: \n
\n
\n

\n
• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (or a program seeking accreditation).
\n
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio
\n
• Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
\n
• PRN requires 1 year of relevant RN experience
\n
• PRN must possess all required certifications upon hire
\n

\nPreferred Qualifications:\n
\n
\n

\n
• Experience caring for patients receiving chemotherapy, immunotherapy, biologic therapies, blood products, and other specialty infusions, including hematology, blood and marrow transplant (BMT), or cellular therapy patients
\n
• BSN
\n
• Professional Certification recognized by the Magnet Association
\n
