About the Position

Job Title: Med/Surg Tele RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Med/Surg Tele Duration: 20 weeks, with an option for 13 weeks Shift: Rotating Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Must have 18 months combined permanent experience in the specialty applying for. Must also have 18 months of recent Med/Surg Tele experience. License: Must have a valid state license or compact license in hand at the time of submission. Certifications: American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required. Must-Have: MUST have a minimum of 18 months combined permanent experience in the specialty. Must work at least every other holiday. ECG rhythm recognition test and assessment will be required during orientation. An acceptable score on both assessments is required. Description: This position is for a Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse. You will be responsible for patient care in a medical/surgical tele unit. There is a potential to float to other units. Candidates with oncology/chemotherapy administration experience are preferred but not required. Training will be provided to qualified candidates interested in administering chemotherapy. Shifts may be variable and will be scheduled based on operational needs. All required certifications must be active and in hand during the application process. Candidates will not be accepted if they have an open case related to background checks. All other travelers, aside from certain exempt positions, must be nicotine-free. Negative drug screenings, including nicotine, are required within 12 months of the start date. Compliance with all policies and procedures is required throughout the assignment.
