You will complete a mixed‑modality learning plan including a curated learning experience that will utilize your pharmacy knowledge and skills. Non‑US Accredited Foreign Graduates are required to successfully complete their internship within 18 months and will be prepared to complete and pass all required Pharmacist licensure exams within 120 days of completing the US internship hours. Key Responsibilities Ensure a safe and effective retail pharmacy work environment delivering exceptional care to each patient, under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Patient Safety, Pharmacy Professional Practice, Regulatory Requirements, Quality Assurance, Customer Service, Inventory Management, Workflow Management (excluding final prescription verification). Lead with empathy and compassion for patients, customers, caregivers, and colleagues. Support the Pharmacy manager in motivating, inspiring, and developing Pharmacy Support Staff. Identify critical business opportunities and implement solutions to drive growth and improve performance. Adapt to change and adjust plans in a dynamic community healthcare setting. Seek new ways to grow, collaborate, and deliver better outcomes. Facilitate a team culture that promotes caring, energy, enthusiasm, and pride. Apply acquired knowledge to help drive healthy outcomes and differentiate CVS from competitors. Customer Service Greet each customer courteously and professionally both in‑store and at the drive‑thru window. Assist pharmacy and front‑store customers with questions and concerns. Answer telephone with a warm greeting. Request additional help and work with others to find solutions when needed to maximize customer satisfaction. Remove obstacles to make customers’ experiences easier when possible. Perform approved register transactions, including cash, check, and charge, bagging merchandise upon completion of sale. Engage with customers and create heartfelt, personalized moments during their visits. Regulatory Maintain customer/patient confidentiality according to HIPAA and company standards. Communicate with customers while protecting confidential drug information. Comply with all federal and state laws, rules, and regulations. Follow all CVS policy and SOPs at all times. Meet requirements for state and federal licensure within an appropriate timeframe. Pharmacy Operations Adhere to CVS workflow and maintain standards at all times. Process prescriptions including translating SIG codes, product selection, counting and measuring drugs, capping, uncapping vials and bottles, and labeling all prescriptions. Resolve third‑party rejections and complete manual claim forms. Perform all prescription pick‑up procedures in accordance with CVS policy. Access, input, and retrieve necessary information to/from the workstation. Ensure inventory management policies and procedures are followed to maintain replenishment. Assist with putting away drug orders (except CLs) as permitted by law. Deliver additional health care services as allowed by state regulation and pharmacy leadership, including point‑of‑care or swab‑and‑send testing, immunization preparation, and/or delivery. Support supervising pharmacist in dispensing drugs, reviewing prescriptions, and monitoring compliance. Counseling (Direct Supervision of a Licensed Pharmacist) Offer to counsel customers and direct them to the pharmacist if necessary. Field medical questions when appropriate. Communicate and interact with all healthcare professionals to provide optimal care. Solicit information on a customer’s medical history to give appropriate advice. Practice duties performed by pharmacists according to law. Leadership Communicate with field management and corporate as needed. Participate in all required store operational meetings. Support maintaining a clean, organized, and professional pharmacy department. Assist with scheduling activities according to business needs and workflow model. Coordinate or implement training and development for Pharmacy Support Staff. Recognize others and celebrate success. Complete all required training programs. Education High School Diploma or General Equivalency Development (GED) – Required. Doctorate (PharmD) or equivalent Pharmacist degree from a non‑US accredited school of pharmacy – Required. Active Pharmacy Intern license in the state where the district is located – Required. Eligibility to immunize – Preferred. Prior Relevant Work Experience 0 to 3 years – Required. 3 to 5 years – Preferred. Essential Qualifications & Functions Foreign graduate from a non‑US accredited pharmacy school prior to starting the training program. Pharmacist licensure in the state within 120 days of completing US intern hours. Failure to complete required intern hours within 18 months or obtain licensure will result in separation. Preferred Qualifications Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Immunization capability after meeting state regulations. Pay Range Typical pay range for this role: $30.00 – $42.00 per hour.
