ASAP Start | Thursday/Friday Schedule | Two Local Facilities | Traditional Nursing Home Rounding

Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking a Physician (MD/DO) for an ASAP locum tenens opportunity providing skilled nursing and long-term care coverage in South Shore and Wurtland, Kentucky .

This is a traditional nursing-home rounding assignment , not LTAC or high-acuity hospital medicine. The physician will provide ongoing medical management for established residents, evaluate new admissions, and round across two nearby skilled nursing facilities on a consistent Thursday & Friday schedule . We are open to schedule flexibility to help care for our well-established skilled-nursing communities: South Shore at 60 beds and Wurtland at 126 beds.

Clinical Scope

The physician will provide routine medical oversight and longitudinal care for residents in a skilled nursing and rehabilitation environment, including:

• Rounding on established residents
• New-admission evaluations
• Management of chronic medical conditions
• Evaluation of acute changes in condition
• Medication review and ongoing medical management
• Coordination with facility nursing and interdisciplinary care teams
• Documentation and follow-up as clinically appropriate

Both locations are skilled nursing facilities providing short- and long-term care rather than LTAC-level services. Our services include skilled nursing, rehabilitation, medication management, diabetes management and other supportive services.

Qualifications

• Physician MD or DO
• Active Kentucky medical license or ability to obtain
• Comfortable managing an adult/geriatric skilled-nursing population
• Comfortable performing new-admission evaluations and ongoing resident rounds
• Able to provide consistent Wednesday–Friday coverage
