Clinical Research Coordinator

Job Summary The Division of Urology within the Department of Surgery seeks a professional, well-organized team player for the position of Clinical Research Coordinator. Responsibilities Assist with operations of Adult and Pediatric Urology clinical research programs. Oversee research and administrative procedures; ensure compliance with hospital, state, federal, and regulatory policies, including patient consent. Perform data acquisition, entry, and quality control for prospective urology projects. Design, implement, and direct research projects. Screen potential research participants and coordinate patient follow-up for enrolled subjects. Obtain informed consent/assent from research subjects and/or parents/guardians. Develop and implement research quality control procedures and data management tools. Assist with creation, editing, and submission of IRB protocols. Participate in aspects of grant submissions and reporting in collaboration with investigators and clinical trials officers. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in health sciences or related field (or equivalent), with two years of professional research experience. Completion of University RATS Clinical Certification within one year of hire. Knowledge of Good Clinical Practices, FDA, HIPAA, and IRB regulations. Exceptional organizational, analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills. Proficiency in MS Office, Excel, and electronic database systems. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Preferred: IRB CITI Course or IATA DGR training; Nursing degree and nationally recognized research compliance certification. Work Environment Office environment; mandatory onsite presence weekdays during mandatory 6‑week start period, followed by possible hybrid schedule with minimum 3 days onsite.
